G2 VIPER CLUTCH PEDAL STOP DROP AND RATIO KIT (CTL-VIPG2-M-A-1016)
G2 VIPER CLUTCH PEDAL STOP DROP AND RATIO KIT (CTL-VIPG2-M-A-1016)
Long clutch pedal travel and a high initial pedal position is a well-known complaint about the Dodge Vipers otherwise stellar driving experience. We have developed a solution that drivers of all heights and leg lengths will enjoy.
The CTL-VIPG2-M-A-1016 kit provides you with these benefits:
-
1.2x motion multiplier, which
equals 1.5 inches (20%) less clutch pedal travel than original, while still reaching full master cylinder stroke.
- Lower starting position of the pedal, and higher end position.
We redesigned pivot points and motion ratio to provide the perfect blend of travel reduction, while maintaining great engagement feel and pedal effort. The pedal is slightly heavier but feels much sportier. The starting height of the pedal has been brought down to be a closer match to the brake pedal. The fully depressed position of the pedal is higher than original. (Please see informational graphic in the product images). It's a win-win-win, and you will really enjoy the difference.
- Adjustable end position stopper to give you reductions above 20%
If you like, you can dial in the adjuster bolt to stop the pedal and clutch master cylinder short of reaching the end, giving yourself a further reduction in travel. This feature is useful when the clutch is disengaged but there is still some travel left in the pedal.
The stopper mechanism is not affected by overall pedal height adjustment, meaning if you move all 3 pedals closer, you will not have to re-adjust the stopper.

Questions & Answers:
Q: How is this different from the simple lowering linkages that have been around for 20 years?
A: The simple shortened bar products that are out there only shift the range of motion down. They do NOT reduce total travel, and they do NOT change the motion ratio. Since you still have to make the full pedal stroke, the end position is even closer to the firewall that original! Please see our informational graphic in the product photos comparing the start and end points. To have a change in motion ratio or travel, you have to change the pivot point locations, which we have done.
Q: If I don't use the end position stopper bolt, will I still have a shorter pedal travel?
A: Yes, the 1.2x motion multiplication is built into the pivoting locations and is completely independent of the bolt adjustment.
Q: Is this kit difficult to install?
A: Installation requires you to remove the driver's seat and lay on your back on the footwell floor to access the components. Removing the clips can be challenging due to limited visibility.
